Terms & Conditions for Solace By Sierra

These Terms & Conditions apply to all photography services provided by Solace By Sierra (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a session, purchasing a service, or engaging with us in any way, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Solace By Sierra provides professional photography services, including but not limited to portrait photography, creative sessions, lifestyle shoots, brand photography, and events. The scope, duration, and deliverables of each session will be agreed upon prior to the shoot.
A booking is not confirmed until a deposit or full payment (as specified at the time of booking) has been received.
Deposits are non-refundable, except where required by law.
The remaining balance must be paid before or on the day of the session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Client Cancellations
If you cancel your session, your deposit will be forfeited.
If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 72 hours’ notice.
One reschedule may be permitted at our discretion. Additional reschedules may require a new deposit.
Photographer Cancellations
In the unlikely event that Solace By Sierra must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered:
A rescheduled session, or
A full refund of any payments made.
If you arrive late, your session time may be reduced to avoid impacting other bookings.
Sessions delayed by more than 30 minutes may be cancelled and treated as a late cancellation, with the deposit forfeited.
By booking with Solace By Sierra, you acknowledge that you are familiar with our style, editing approach, and artistic direction.
Editing choices, including colour, tone, cropping, and retouching, are made at our professional discretion.
Raw (unedited) images are not provided under any circumstances.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. This includes secure storage of both electronic and physical records. Personal data no longer required will be securely destroyed or de-identified, except when retention is legally required.
Final images will be delivered digitally within the timeframe discussed at booking (typically [insert timeframe]).
The number of images delivered depends on the package booked.
Additional images or edits may be purchased separately.
Copyright
All images remain the copyright of Solace By Sierra under Australian Copyright Law.
Clients receive a personal or commercial usage licence depending on the type of session booked.
Client Usage
You may:
Share images on social media
Use images for personal promotion or branding (if applicable)
Print images for personal use
You may not:
Alter, heavily filter, or edit images without written permission
Sell images to third parties
Claim authorship of the images
Solace By Sierra may use images for portfolio, website, social media, marketing, competitions, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing. If you wish to opt out of image usage, this must be communicated before the session.
Clients are responsible for their appearance, styling, and punctuality.
Any inspiration images or specific requests must be shared prior to the session.
Solace By Sierra is not responsible for dissatisfaction due to uncommunicated preferences.
Clients are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or accompanying guests.
Children must be supervised at all times.
For outdoor or location shoots, weather conditions are beyond our control. Decisions to reschedule due to weather will be made collaboratively.
Prices are subject to change without notice.
Once a booking is confirmed, your quoted price will be honoured.
Late payments may result in delayed image delivery.
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website. By booking, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined there.
Solace By Sierra reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will always apply to new bookings.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes will be handled under Australian jurisdiction.
